Peter George


Specialising in business development, strategy formulation and acquisitions, Peter George brings more than 20 years of management and marketing experience in the speciality chemicals and advanced materials sector to the FMG senior team.

With senior executive roles and directorships in a range of corporate and medium-sized organisations, he has worked internationally on marketing and distribution, IP management, business development strategy and project management of overseas investments.

His particular skills and experience in managing sales teams, with both European and US companies, have been combined with developing market-oriented strategies and industrial marketing plans internationally.

He has particular knowledge of the adhesives and composite materials markets, including pre-pregs, structural cores and fabrics, for the transport, construction and wind energy sectors.

Peter has held director and senior management roles at organisations including Huntsman, Gurit, Formax and IPS. He has an MBA from the Open University in the UK, as well as an MA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, where he specialised in materials science.
